hey everyone, new to the page. My bearded dragon Khaleesi is 4 years old but Iv had her 7 months. From day one she has had runny poop, within the first 2 months of owning her she laid 58 eggs fertile eggs and picked up pinworm and coccidia. We treated that and she has had 2 clear fecals done since.

Does anyone know what could be causing her poop issues? We have removed her loose substrate to make cleaning up easier but I’d like to get to the bottom of it and return her to loose

Thanks

Thanks :) her viva 4x2x2, basking spots 40.8 and cool ends 27
She has an Arcadia t8, 12% uvb and Arcadia clear basking bulb. Food wise she has rocket, pea shoots, spring greens daily with the odd bit of grated fruit or veg and then she has live food mainly locusts or crickets 3 times a week. She has repashy calcium + LoD on her live

Perfect... You could drop the basking down to the mid 95-100F so that conversion 35-37, lighting is good Arcadia's are great..food seems fine maybe a bit of powder probiotic's may help just make sure it doesn't have sugars or additives. Maybe if you could add a picture is there any formed poop or urate? maybe she is just a really hydrated..

WOW no consistency even...and your vet is an exotic one? and they give no explanation to why her poop has zero form?

Could it be the fruits (raspberries) causing it? or is it consistantly like this all the time? fruit is very high in water, could it just be too much to process so pooped out? my beardies poop like that if they have too many waxworms. Its gotta be a dietry thing surely, given that theres no parasites

I would try swapping out some of the things you feed her, just to rule them out. Not that there's anything wrong with what youre feeding her, , but just maybe there's something that disagrees with her or she finds hard to digest. Maybe start by swapping out the locusts for dubia roaches for a little while and see if the consistency of her poop improves. If not then, then try swapping some of the veggies out and gradually rule out the things you feed her regularly.. It may turn out that the food is not the problem in the end, but at least you will know and in the meantime you may find a better explaination.

That's great news. I've never heard of locust intolerance before, but people are the same, some foods just dont agree. I guess it could also be something to do with the crickets from your particular supplier, maybe they feed them on something wierd or something? . Anyway like you say it looks a lot better, still a lot of liquid but hopefully that will improve.

OMG that's a big difference!! at least now there is a clear poop with a tube shape!! and some urate that's in a shape.. I think the rest of the liquid will reduce some but even if there is still some that's ok too just means she's really hydrated..
Awesome news!
