Hey folks, just joined the forum.

So, I found this really cool enclosure online that I want to build (http://www.morion.com/teo/english/rockwall-cage/frame-cage.html) I want to expand it to about 5 X 2 X 2. My question is, what woods are safe? I had heard pine was not really safe for beardies. Would paint and sealants negate that fact? Or should I still start with a safer wood? Maple? Birch? Thanks for the help.

Just built my enclosure recently. I wish I could source my answer but apparently the hot debate was the type of wood and stains (if used) are the most safe for a bearded dragon and the most upvoted answers were

Birch Plywood ($$)
Polyurethane Water-Based Stains (To treat the wood against water damage)

Hope that helps! Again I wish I could source this information for you but this was a month or two ago at a UK beardie forum.
