Hi everybody I am new to beardies I have done hours and hours of research and I seen somewhere (can't remember where) someone put the calcium power in a shallow dish just by itself so the beardie could have it when they wanted... Is that recommend or even needed cuz I do dust the crickets with it but didn't know if maybe that was a good idea... Thank you.... Oh and I have a baby beardie if that helps

Since your baby gets calcium dusted crickets, I wouldn't see a need for a calcium dish. Too much calcium is just as bad as too little, and the signs for hypercalcemia and hypocalcemia are virtually indistinguishable without a blood test.

I only leave supplement dishes in with my geckos because their mealworms are impossible to dust.

Certain reptiles need the dish of calcium however dragon's are not one of those so just dust the feeders.
