No it’s not in the basking spot. It’s in the middle of the tank. The ambient air temp or his basking spot? The basking spot needs to be 95 to 105℉ for a baby.

Digital probe. I ordered the one mentioned above. Here is a pic of itHow are you getting that temp? Digital probe? No stick ons please ---- what brand of MVB did you order and what wattage ---those bulbs need to be certain distance and NO obstruction for best UVB etc ------- if you haft to move the MVB up its going to effect the UVB output for effectiveness then it is wise to get another UVB in the tank for optimum UVB ---
Please send this back -- it is no good ---- if your going to use a MVB get a PowerSun or Mega Ray --- they are the better ones on the market --- I would recommend going w/ a regular bright white basking bulb like a Exo Terra Intense and a standard long tube fixture UVB -- like this https://www.petmountain.com/product/zoo-med-reptisun-t5-ho-high-output-terrarium-hood 24" for a 40+ gallon tank -- this comes w/ a 5.0 bulb hang on to it distance and placement is different the bulb you need 22" bulb https://www.petmountain.com/product/zoo-med-reptisun-t5-ho-100-uvb-high-output-bulbsDigital probe. Sadie these mvbs are fine, ive used this brand for over a year now, ive raised not only a beardie on them but im raising a gecko too on this brand currently, i did post that she’ll need a proper uvb, the same link u use actually. Please send this back -- it is no good ---- if your going to use a MVB get a PowerSun or Mega Ray --- they are the better ones on the market --- I would recommend going w/ a regular bright white basking bulb like a Exo Terra Intense and a standard long tube fixture UVB -- like this https://www.petmountain.com/product/zoo-med-reptisun-t5-ho-high-output-terrarium-hood 24" for a 40+ gallon tank -- this comes w/ a 5.0 bulb hang on to it distance and placement is different the bulb you need 22" bulb https://www.petmountain.com/product/zoo-med-reptisun-t5-ho-100-uvb-high-output-bulbs
these are the best on the market at this time
these are easier to keep your temps w/ that you need MVB you need to play around w/ distance and most of the time you need to add the UVB I just posted for you because the MVB ends up too far away etc thus effecting the UVB out put
I’m not using it currently. I still have the dual set up that I wasn’t aware was not good because of the coiled uvb bulb. I’m waiting for the mvb to arrive. I have a tiny 10 gallon tank but I promise I’m ordering ASAP. From the zen habitats site that sky mentioned.
