Cycling an aquarium is easy. Add an ammonia source (shrimp) and it will do it for you. First batch of bacteria will convert ammonia into nitrites then 2nd set of bacteria will turn nitrites into nitrates. Done.

Used to do salt water fish. Loved having them. But now I have fresh water. Just lost a gold fish that I had for 7 yrs last weekend after I cleaned the tank. Also have a beta, a goldfish son won at the fair a few months ago ( of course I had to get it his own tank) some koi, two Boston Terriers, a 3 month old beardie Mr. Gus, and my pride and joy to small children.
