I am currently buying supplies for a future dragon. I have a question on lighting. I purchased a 100w mercury bulb for the basking spot and two reptile desert uvb 26w coil lights. I am setting up a 20g long. Will this lighting be sufficient? I plan on doing the tube lighting for uvb when the dragon moves to a larger permanent housing.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

The coil bulbs are no good for bearded dragons. They don't penetrate deep enough in the tank to give any benefit. Your dragon would have to sit like 2 inches away from it. Coil bulbs also can cause eye problems. The MVB should be enough on its own in a 20 gallon tank.

Thank you very much. So I should invest in the tubing uvb like Reptisun 10.0?

I would get a T5 reptisun or Arcadia light that would cover1/2 - 2/3 of the tank.
