Hi Patsy... I will go ahead and try that....I had bought a zilla worm dish but that was a fail....the worms and roaches climbed out but I think the glass will be better.... BTW should I put Vaseline on the top of his tank? So in case one gets out, they don't come out the tank?
Everyone would go crazy if they find a roach roamin around lol [emoji28]

OMG, I had one of those dishes too, does not work! I also bought those plastic ones with the little lid that goes over them to keep the worms in, does not work! Vaseline might work. Nothing really climbs glass, I don't know about dubia roaches but I know crickets and worms and will climb decor and can get out that way. I don't know what kind of tank you have but I have Exo-Terra tanks and I've always just put some packing tape over the holes in the top and it prevents bugs from getting out.

Wait...I do take that back...there is a roach that I bought once, I think it was a red runner, that was very fast and climbed the glass. It almost ran right out of the tank!

Hi Patsy... Yeah the dish was a waste lol I hope the ones with the lid work cuz I ordered 5 lmao they were 95c each but still lol ...I was thinking they could climb on the silicone but I'll give it a go....Rex has been active since he started shedding actually...kinda scares me because he jumps from one branch of the vinewood to the other and sometimes misses his landing [emoji28] ...I have him in one of those Petco aquariums...sorta...I was looking for diy guides to make him a terrarium....any ideas?

So I got the hornworms and waxworms and surprisingly he didn't go for the waxworms....I read they go crazy for them but stubborn Rex didn't mind them...on the other hand....he devour 6 hornworms right away....I put one in to see and he almost took it out my hand lol I took advantage and dusted the other ones before giving them and he went ahead and devour them too...I'm starting ti believe he doesn't like his food too dusted because when I put two more, they were well coated and he didn't eat anymore...I'll keep trying but if that's the case what do u guys recommend? Keep trying and make him learn? ...idk if I can afford only feeding him hornworms if that's all he likes lol I still got like 60 dubias I'll see if he goes for them later in the feeding cup I got...at least he is eating more little by little

Yeah hornworms are expensive. Dexter will only eat them and my chameleon loves them. Luckily at almost 3 Dexter doesn't need to eat bugs every day so I can make them last a bit. I bred them last year with some success, this year it's slow going. It's now the end of October and I finally have 5 moths that have emerged so I'm hoping they mate and lay eggs.

I would just dust very, very lightly and he should be fine. I would offer him both and he may eventually eat them. My boy Luci will eventually eat everything I give him. If I offer him a super and he doesn't eat it he may eat a hornworm and the next day vise versa. The thing about these guys is they can get bored with what they eat and change their mind from one day to the next. When Dexter was young and ate salads she would change her mind as to what color veggies she wanted. One week she would be okay eating red things then the next week turn her nose up and what green things!
