Hey all.. This I bet the not eating question is a newbee common one but best ask... I bought an 8 wk old beardie Friday and shop setup viv on fri afternoon... She's only eating 3-4 bugs per day...no fruit or veg and no drinking. She poops daily, she is always high up and until today she was really comfy laying on me, wandering and looking round....

She doesn't use the basking side at all.

Is the not eating or drinking/basking likely just relocation stress.. How do I resolve it.. Should I leave her alone completely and only act when she glass surfs.... Any thought wd be great.

FYI the pet shop built the Vic and mis informed me saying i didnt need without basking zone or stone.or temp humidity monitors..(i asked they said not needed). So she's had 2 days plus however long in shop without basking zones..

I now have one (pic) which is steady 40.3degrees and 25% humidity...28deg on cool side....

The uvb light is full length and the ceramic light is there and on thermo kit.

Any ideas on how to encourage basking as am certain lack of eating is to do with that as well.

Much appreciated.

Hello, could you post a picture of the bearded dragon? Also I would not suggest holding your bearded dragon until she is eating. It is normal for young bearded dragons to not eat their vegetables and to not drink water.

In the picture she looks a little dehydrated, so I'd suggest you get a dropper and put a little bit of water on her nose. I would just keep trying to get her to eat and don't handle her too much. All of your husbandry looks good, so she's probably just settling in.
