My new Beardie,Ginger, has been in our home for about a month now. I got her on sale because her tail was nipped by another Beardie and I didn’t care about that. However it looks like it’s discolored and I am concerned about tail rot. Does this look normal?

If the darkness spreads down the tail or starts to look crunchy or shrivel up, then it's tail rot. Dragons that lose part of their tail have this funky looking stump. It's hard to tell form this picture if this is just shed or if it's something else. You could take her to a vet and have it checked out. My girl Dolly is missing part of her tail and she has a big black spot on the stump where the rest of the tail was connected. I always worried it was infected, but it was just the way that it healed.

Looks like a normal nipped tail to me..like patsy said if it shrivels up and looks bad then you need to get it seen by a exotic vet
