I use reptile carpet. I'm soon paranoid of them getting hurt. No substrates or sand for my guys. I have a sick tiny dragon and the vet said he ate dirt or something and he got an infection which led to mouth rot . My daughter had put in a little palm tree and that's the only thing I can think of. Reptile carpet cleans really well I like it.

The 3rd eye is like a light sensor so they know if a predator is coming up on them from above or behind. I was kissing my Hef on his head but now I kiss his cheek cuz I don't want cover his little light sensor. Now I want to find it on my chameleon but it's not gonna happen.
