It's 5' tall, and 3' x 3' (width and depth). I was thinking of pulling out the guts in the large open area and installing a glass hinged door to make this an enclosure for my 1 year old beardie. Any pros or cons to this that anyone has experienced?

It's solid oak, with a mirror in the back, one light fixture overhead, underneath has pull out drawers for storage (aka. crickets and worms)... I was thinking about building one from scratch, but this looks like a much more economical option...

Hi, that would make an awesome enclosure but the height of the enclosure area is a little to tall in my opinion. If you are able to come up with a solution keeping the floor to the top of the cage within 18". I think you might a winner :)

Michelle, I made the mistake on trying to convert a cairo cabinet into an enclosure and it was tall. Don't waste your time. It's not worth it. Plus BD's live on the ground. Not to mention a tall enclosure is a recipe for injury disaster (falling). Not to mention, your electric bill will reflect when trying to heat that bad boy up!
