Ok so my little guy seems a little jumpy, we took him outside, my 9 year old son was holding him, he jumped off his lap and ran into a deep pile of bushes, making it very difficult to get him, once I got him he blew up and opened his mouth, he was not happy! My questions are, how much should we be handling him, I read handle him a lot, we take him out like 5 times a day, but he always wants to run away from us! I don't want him to hate us after this incident, any suggestions would be great.

hold him when you are sitting watching tv when things are calm so he don't get spooked.

hi, i only let my kids hold Yoda inside with me next to them. (Yoda is 6 months??? and about 8 inches long from snout to tail tip). I only let them hold him about once a week while Yoda is so small and fragile. I however handle him basically constantly. I hand feed him on our coffee table and when the kids so to bed, i have Yoda out with me so he can explore. Poor Max( our 6 month old Jack Russell) gets a little annoyed as when Yoda is out, Max is chain so as not to have any unfortunate accidents. Beardies are VERY fast, blink and they are gone. Yoda flattens out when he is a little pee'd with me. I think they do it to make themselves look bigger. Just remember that what looks like a little fall to you, can be enormous to a tiny beardie

If your beardie just about fits into your hand (without tail) I would say he is about 4 months old... and your viv looks awesome!:) he'll really grow into it
