Mouth issue

Hi,
I am new to Beardies after always having Geckos. I recently bought 2 girls (Kath & Kim) from a reputable local dealer.
When I got them home I noticed one girl’s nostrils were blocked and she had crusty bits in the corners of her mouth (1st pic).
I’ve had them nearly 6 weeks now and they have both shed skin but her mouth seems to be getting worse. About a week ago she had a hair in her nostril so I gave it a gentle pull and it came out with what looked like a lump of earwax. It’s now blocked up again. Not sure if the nose is linked to the crusty mouth? Any ideas gratefully recieved.

Have you checked in inside? Sounds like mouth rot.... increase saliva production it’s really hard to tell. But I would take her to the vet just to get checked out just to be on the safe side. If it worsens, the infection can get into the blood stream and it’s down hill from there. Best wishes

I would take her to a vet for a checkup. I don’t know what it is, but mouth issues are something that is very difficult to clear up because they use their mouth so much to eat.

My girl has granulation tissue in her mouth that we’ve been dealing with for a very long time.

I also recommend a vet because if there is also stuff coming out of the nose, it could quite be a respiratory infection and that needs to be tested with antibiotics.

Sounds like a respiratory infection if there is build up or excess of saliva... Be careful pulling anything out of their nose as they have a thin piece of cartilage that allows them to close their nostrils when they submerge..
