Hdrydr - Do you think then that it was unnecessary for me to have treated him on my own the way I did? Would pinworms eggs just go away on their own with good cage hygiene?
Also, I apologize if I'm hijacking this thread. I was just always curious about the pinworm issue and got very interested when it was brought up here.
No your fine no harm and it's always nice knowing your baby is free.. Make sure your giving a probiotic to rebuild their natural gut flora..

I would love to get her of the Crickets but here in Canada we don't have Dubia. If I had the chance I would give her them instead of the Crickets.

Superworms they're amazing my Hef loves them . He won't eat a cricket ant more at all. They should be available in canada
Can you do the discoids? Or locust's or worms? I know on the approved list from my vet there are a few different types of worms that are good for beardies.

Just as a bit of information, they do not contract pinworms through eating crickets. Most parasites are host specific, and the types of parasites that inhabit crickets (they do have their own group of parasites, including species of worms) do not get passed on to your reptile. There are almost no parasites that cross the invertebrate/vertebrate species separation. The pinworms that are parasites in reptiles are completely different species.
There is also a growing body of evidence showing that in fact some parasites are helpful in gut health and digestion. It can become problematic when there is some greater injury or stressor and their immune system takes a nosedive, however, the resultant bloom is also usually readily handled by that same immune system when it returns to normal. Panacur and other treatments can often be as traumatic to the health of the lizard as the parasites. Again this is not true for all parasites, as obviously each needs to be considered on its own.
