From the pictures she looks in good health, she may just want some cool down time. I would see what she does for a bit,if she does want to slow down its best to let her do what her body is telling her to do. As long as she's not loosing weight she should be fine. They thermo regulate their body temps by moving in and out of the heat as they need.

Thank you Hdrydr31 for your reply. I'm glad that you said she is in good health. She eats and poops like always just that basking is what was worrying me. I will keep a close eye on her.

Just try and make her bask after eating then just let her decide where she wants to be. You can always keep playing around with the lights.
Also here in wi we just got over some glummy days and my female has been staying in her hide, but now that the Sun is back shes coming out.
Keep record of weights and such, trial different basking temps, get her outside if nice and that will do her good and just maybe booster out of whatever "funk" shes in?

The weather here is so warm in the summer that I have her outside every day for about an hour and she just sit on my lap or in the grass and just watches the world go by.
Been keeping track since I got her on her weight and length so I could see if the gained or lost weight.

Could you post a picture of your entire set up? May be time for an enclosure upgrade as yours is a little small now for an adult dragon.

My apologies, you said earlier a 55 gallon tank, but that enclosure looks different than a standard 55 gallon.

How are you measuring the basking temperature?

I would recommend two things. First, get another light for the cool end. Could just be something simple like a regular light household light bulb or a CFL, but something that adds light without much heat at all. Then get some branches/logs and make use of that height youve got in the enclosure. Dragons are semi arboreal and love to climb, plus giving the enclosure a more three dimensional aspect adds enrichment to the environment.
