We are getting our first bearded dragon in a few weeks. I just want to make sure we have everything done before then. My husband built this enclosure this weekend, and it is just about done. Now, we will only be using this enclosure for a couple months, and then he is going to build a nicer one. We are going to order all the stuff that goes in it on Monday.

Great work especially for a weekend. I'm still new to dragons but it seems to fit all the requirments. Only thing I would watch out for is food being able to climb out if you are doing roaches or crickets. I have been feeding roaches out of a glass bowl and they stay until ready to be eaten.

They do, but it's called FRP. It's a plastic sheeting basically that you can easily attach to wood to make it waterproof. Cheap and easy to work with.

Its fibres covered in plastic dude. They are often sold in panels, which are fibre reinforced plastic panels then. If you wanted to go old school you could say fibre reinforced polymer, but thats just a fancier word for the same thing ;) Even the site you linked to says its a high strength polyester resin (plastic) reinforced with fibreglass

Youre right though, its good to clean it thoroughly before putting your animal inside, and to use a mask when cutting it.
