Temps sound okays. You want that basking spot to stay consistent. A few degrees different is okay but 100-107 is a huge difference. The tank size is a bit small so you are going need to upgrade to a bigger tank eventually. Minimum size is 36"x18"x18", ideal size is 4'x2'x2'. Be careful with the fake plants because she may possibly mistake them for her greens and try to eat them and the loose substrate can cause impaction but most of all bacterial infections and respiratory infections because it's hard to get the poop completely out of it.

Pretty girl you got there!

Thank you! Do you have a basking light recommendation ? I’m using a 50watt halogen light bulb

It sounds like what you are using is capable of getting up to 107, is there a draft near the tank that makes it drop so much? What do you use to measure your temps?

Surface temp gun and probe the probe always reads Wrong the probe would say 107 but my temp gun would say 104 but I check on her in the morning her lights kick on at 5:30 because I get up At 6:30 for work I want her tank to warm up before I feed her and when I get home sometimes her basking temp hits 115 and bulb hasent been touched. So I’m seeing if there’s a better system I can go about. I’m using a mini halogen bulb if I forgot to mention

I don’t know much about the mini halogen bulbs. I wonder if you could put them on a dimmer? This way the temp will stay consistent. I’ve used reptile basking bulbs with success and I’ve also used a 90 watt pad 38 halogen flood light.
