Is he getting UVB through mesh?

So when I bought my 75 gallon tank, it was made for fish so they only had glass tops, so I went to True Value and got costume made tops. I’m just worried that the UVB isn’t getting through the mesh, but the heat is for sure is. The mesh is just screens made for windows, they said it was made out of fiber glass. If it’s not letting the UVB through, what would you guys suggest for tops for this type of tank?
I use the reptisun 100 watt uvb and heat during the day and the zoo med ceramic infrared heat 100 watt for night time.
(I took of the top screen and put the uvb a little lower because it looked like he was really soaking it in which is why I’m worried and that’s what’s in the picture, it’s usually higher and has the mesh between it)

Also, I’m working on his decor. I just tried to work with what I had at the time, I just wanted him out of the 40 gallon since he’s so big! I promise his decor, basking spot and hides will get better at some point!

So I know that mesh blocks out 35% of the UVB from a tube style bulb but i'm not sure about MVB bulbs.

That is super interesting! I didn’t realize that it could be a percentage. This might be a rookie question, but what is the biggest difference between the Mercury bulb and the other one?

Mercury vapor bulbs concentrate the UVB to a smaller portion of the tank where the tube bulb gives you a wider range of coverage. Also a tube bulb doesn’t provide heat like the MVB does.
