I was just wondering if anyone has ever insulated their dragon's glass enclosure and if so what type of insulation did you use?

Really not necessary, but its usually because of a common misunderstanding. Glass is actually a very good insulating material. A solid pane of glass is more insulating than just about any other common building material of the same or even greater width. The common misunderstanding happens because of two issues. First, people know that windows are the part of their house that lets in the most cold. Thats obviously an unfair comparison when you think about how thick and insulated a wall is, with 4"-6" of sealed air space, two 1/2" walls, and thick insulation in between compared to a window that is often not sealed, only 1/8" thick and housed in a metal frame. The second reason people think glass enclosures need insulation is because they almost always come with wire mesh tops, and therein lies the real problem. Heat rises, so if you have an open top, which most glass enclosures do, then that is where all the heat is going - straight up and out. Building a simple enclosed top will solve the heating issues and allow for an easier control of humidity levels too.

Sorry, in answer to your question though, the easiest way to insulate it would be with that 1" sheet insulation. They sell it at any hardware store and its pretty cheap. Also very easy to cut and put in place.
