Infrared lamps

The other day I bought an infrared lamp to keep on at night because I worried that it might get a little cold for Beard with the air conditioning on at night. But then I saw that he was up and about in the middle of the night, whereas before he pretty much went to sleep and stayed that way. Is the red lamp harmful or can he regulate his sleep as he needs it? It's probably not THAT cold here-the temp is usually about 78 or so at night. What about during the winter?

i wouldn't use an infered. In my opinion, from what l have been reading they may be harmful to beardies eyes. It was once said that beardies can't see red but.. Anyway l would not use it simply because it seems to be keeping your beardie awake. Again, in my opinion 78 is an exceptable temp for night time, l really don't think you need any heating. In winter you may wish to swap from infered to CHE (ceramic heat emitter) if it's needed

It isn't necessary to have night heat unless it fall below 60 F
