Why are they bad and also yes the distance is good ive checked the box i’ve checked the height of the enclosure and is 18 inches so pretty much its at a great distance
They do not provide the adequate uvb rays- so many health issues w/ these things please get rid of it - she will thrive under your long tube fixture-

Hello,

I agree, that is a great setup indeed!! As suggested, a smaller tank setup so you can
get the UVB closer or if you could try to mount the tube bulb underneath of the screen
top to allow more UVB exposure for her.
Since she is a youngster, putting a divider in the tank to allow her to get more heating &
light would be helpful right now.
You would definitely have better luck getting more calcium into her if you dusted her
insects instead of her greens. She probably just isn't getting adequate UVB so she isn't
able to absorb her calcium well enough.
Congratulations on your first dragon!

I would not bath her every week - its going to stress her out and they dont need bathing as much - usually if they have pooped themselves or if that is the only way they will drink - rinse her greens before feeding she will get moisture from those and you can drop water on her nose once a week to see if she will lick - if she does keep dropping till she stops or moves away - you can watch her poops for dehydration urate will be dry and crusty looking and the poop will look dried out as well - you want them formed and moist looking - as Tracie said dust the insects and not the salads - your long tube UVB is sufficient for her - this will help her absorb / synthesize her calcium shes getting

Just want to clarify something here for you if its confusing. Your long tube uvb is perfect-keep that one. In your other lamp fixture you have 2 bulbs. One looks like a regular white bulb-that is her heat and uva bulb-keep it and keep it on. The other one has coils like a florescent bulb-that is the one to get rid of. So you should have 2 lights in your tank, one in the double dome (the plain white one) and the long arcadia 12% uvb tube. You should have the other (coil) light in your double dome switched off or take it out altogether. Hope that helps!

Yeah her poop is very healthy and very hydrated i usually bath her to make it easier for her skin to shed thats what ive heard and yeah also ti help jer drink some water since i add like electrolytes and some other thing that makes shed easier as well as a blue substance that purifies the water so ot wont have harsh chemicals

If you can drink your water then your fine for her - your wasting your money w/ the other stuff- as far as the coil uvb it's no good - please don't use it

This is what you want for uvb:
Along with the hood (fixture). You can attach your uvb under the screen with 24" heat resistant zipties or thin picture wire. Youll have to widen the holes in your screen with a scredriver if you use the zipties. Here is how I set up mine when I had my previous tank:

Okay i ma start adjusting the uvb so i can ahve it inside the enclosure
You can find the heat resistant zip tie cables at home Depot -- make sure your basking decor is directly under it w/ a distance of 12-15 inches

Thats a 40 gallon youre using now? Then your basking piece should be about 4-6 inches high under the uvb, since those 40 gallon starter tanks are 18" high. Make sure you temp it with the probe..adult dragons like a basking temp of 95 to 100, no lower, and babies need it even warmer 105-110 but no higher. It might take a bit of juggling things around, maybe even changing your basking piece or increasing/decreasing the wattage of your ĥeat bulb ( the round bright white basking one). Leave the probe in place, in contact with the surface of the basking piece for at least 10-15 minutes to get an accurate reading.

You want a plain white basking bulb that provides light too not just heat. Colored bulbs are not good for their eyes. Zoomed provides a good Repti basking bulb in white, for one. This is the one I use, 150 watts but my tank is 4x2x2, so you may need a lower wattage. They come in 125 watts also, as well as lower wattages. Just choose the wattage that gets your basking spot up to temp (check with probe). You can pick up a couple of the stick on digital thermometers too to measure the temps of your tank. You want a warm side around 85-90, and a cool side (the side not under the basking bulb) of anywhere from 75-80. The temperature gradient allows your beardie to cool down when he needs to. But always measure the basking spot with the probe.

Okay I’ve considered buying that one before i don’t have the boxes of my bulbs but they’re from a good brand with a lot of good reviews

Please no off white-- yellowish colored or daytime bulbs - good bulbs are Flukers basking Exo Terra Intense or Arcadia Halogen -- the Repti basking bulbs are ok but a lot of people have had issues w/ them not lasting very long including me so I quit buying them --
