Hello everyone,

About 2 days ago we adopted our first bearded dragon, Ichibaku. He's about the most adorable thing ever! We're super excited to have him with us, and since he's our first reptile, we want to do our best to give him everything he needs to grow healthy. It's nice to meet you all :)

So far he's been sleeping for the past 2 days straight, not eating, with barely any movements around his tank. At least he has pooped about once on twice these past few days. We've tried giving him mealworms, but he just continues to sleep. From the research we've done online, Ichi's probably just adjusting to his new vivarium (20gal). We're just giving him some time to adjust before we freak out, but always making sure he has the right temperature.

Hello and welcome! Your little beardie is a cutie!

Skip the mealworms, they could possibly cause impaction. Try a feeder with less of a hard shell and more meat like crickets. I really enjoyed feeding reptiworms to my girls. They have to shell, all protein and have a lot of calcium.

What kind of viv do you plan on upgrading him to? Are you going to buy one or are you going to make your own?
