How dry is too dry? (And how do I fix it?)

Hello,

That's great Autumn is doing well. The desert sand is probably the type that is made of calcium which will clump up. Usually that type of sand is notorious for causing impaction if ingested. Washed & sifted playsand is a lot better if you are wanting some type of sand box.
Humidity sounds fine. It is normal for it to fluctuate like that. At 20%, that is pretty low. You can let it get into the 30%. If she doesn't have a respiratory infection, then keeping the humidity at 30% or so is perfectly acceptable.
The F10 is a great cleaner, very safe.
I hope she has gotten her appetite back!

It's quartz sand, actually - supposedly natural desert sand, at that.

The humidity is sometimes reaching 30% but usually is more around 20%. Literally nothing I've done has been able to change this.

That 20% is fine -

Here's another question for you, if you don't mind - Autumn likes to poop atop her favorite basking spot. She doesn't stick around after, so if I find her in another part of the tank I know to check whether she's pooped recently.

The problem is, the basking spot in question has a ton if tiny little cracks and crags, and... well, long story short, there's a bit of urate trapped in it. I disinfected the thing with F10, but I'm worried that the thing still isn't safe. Should I replace it with an easier to clean basking place?

What kind of material is the basking spot? Resin wood a hard surface like cement or brick ?

Resin. My roommate took a scrubby brush to it and managed to get the stuff off, though... Next time maybe I'll use one of the extra toothbrushes I got for Autumn's bath time.

Yep toothbrush is good and it can be rinsed --

I'm also getting her a posable moss vine? I know it'll raise the humidity a little, but unless it's a super dramatic increase I'm not that worried. Autumn seems to love climbing, though, so I think this will be good for her... (Especially since I'm still holding off on sand, play or otherwise. I wanna talk to the vet and make sure I'm not fucking up anything first.)

Humidity should not be a issue I would not worry about that - I am real leery of vets advice - your playsand / soil mix would be fine for her at a older age -
