I’ve bought a viv but it doesn’t have a mesh fitting on top to but the basking light in, I don’t know how else I can fit it!

Picture please, not really sure what you are trying to do. Are you saying the viv didn't come with a top to it? If that is the case you are going to have to find a way to mount the lights above your tank.

You could hang it from a hook for now but you need an internal fixture really. You will need an internal fixture for your UV light too
