We have had our beardie for about 4 months now. We have been feeding him a variety of fruits, vegitables, crickets, and mealworms. Recently past 2 weeks he has seemed to be constipated. First he did not go for about a week and when he did it seemed to take a lot of effort, then this week we found urinate in his cage but no fecies. Please let me know any thoughts you have.

Hello and welcome.

Couple of questions:
1. What UVA/UVB lighting are you using?
2. How old is your bearded dragon?
3. How hot is your basking area?
4. How cold is your cool side?
5. What are you using to measure the temps?
6. What substrate are you using?
7. How often do you bathe him?

Mealworms are not good for bearded dragons. They are too tough to break down and can cause impaction.

Ok. I'd bathe him every day until you get a decent poop out of him.

The UVB type and manufacturer will help.

Just adding that you can probably raise the basking temp 5 to 10 degrees. It doesnt sound like much but a few degrees can change the world sometimes
