Please help. We have a dragon that is 1 1/2 years old. I found him a week ago flipped upside down in his cage. I just assumed he fell off his hammock. This morning I found him upside down under his log he sleeps under. Then my husband saw him do it. He’s acting very different and seems lethargic.

He is ether sick or is going into brumation. I would waste for more people options then take him to the vet if they say so

Your dragon is very sick - what are you using for a UVB ? Coil or tube? What are the basking temps and how are you taking them?

It got really cold here about a week or two ago. And he’s been acting like this the last few days. He originally flipped over about a week ago. It’s 82 degrees in there with both lights. Plus he’s been laying on his heating pad.

There was an energy issue abd I was worried we were going to lose power with negative temperatures here, luckily we kept electricity, but now I’m afraid he got too cold.

lose the heating pad and make sure his basking spot is 105-115 of if he's a baby. 95 Minimum for adults.

He is closing his eyes and gaping, i think there is more to the issue than him just being cold. He may be very sick.

Please get rid of the coil bulb and get this ASAP--please https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/zoo-med-reptisun-t5-ho-terrarium-hood.html 24" fixture and this bulb https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/zoo-med-reptisun-10.0-uvb-t5.html 22" you need to order this immediately!! The basking bulb is a bright white or off white yellowish color? Coils are inadequate-- are you giving any kinds of supplements- I would get him into the vet but make sure he is a reptile vet - here is a website to find a vet www.arav.org but please get your uvb changed out - are you in a warm area that is 65 degrees now or warmer?

You need a digital probe thermometer to get correct basking temps - 95-110 for a adult dragon----- they usually like temps around 95-100-+ basking temps and UVB are the most important things in that tank-- the UVB controls the overall health and behavior of the dragon

No unfortunately we’ve been experiencing the coldest winter since the 1800s here. I’m in arkansas. It’s finally getting Warmer though! I’m waiting on a call from the vet. I’m hoping it’s curable with antibiotics. I thought I did plenty of research and unfortunately there’s been no crickets due to pandemic, but been feeding super worms. Also, they were all sold out if the lights I was using and I bought this coul one to make due. Ughhhh. I’m so mad. The pandemic messed up our system and our light going out during pandemic, there wasn’t much to choose from. I didn’t want to ship them and risk them being shattered. Thank you for the help! The vet should let me know something in a couple hours. I sent pictures and info.

He needs to have a x-ray to look for calcium defiency and blood work done for possible RI-- the dragon needs uvb badly! How long were you using the coil for - go on line for your insects I can post websites but at this time he needs the correct lighting- do not rely on your pet stores please I can post websites for you but you must get the temps and lighting corrected

Have you noticed your beardie suffering from diarrhea, breathing difficulties, or "stargazing"? Flipping over, along with these other symptoms, can be a sign of ADV. If you have other reptiles, separate your beardie from them as soon as possible. Calcium deficiency could also be the reason he is flipping over.

With the heat bulb his basking spot should be about 95-100. If it is not get a 100 watt basking the outside temp does not mater if there if a high wat heat bulb
