Help- I think my 2month old ate to many meal worms

A little late now but I learned that if the warm bath doesn't help them poop take a little bit of applesauce and mix a small drop of veggie oil and dab it on his mouth. A little bit will help things go a little "smoother." I'm obsessed with beardie poop if he hasn't pooped by late afternoon I start trying to get him going. Just because he loves his wormies but the jury is still out on whether or not they cause impaction so I don't take the chance.

Your obsession is not a healthy one for your BD. Does not allow it's digestive system to take care of itself, normally. Trying to force or induce a poop if it has not gone by a certain time every day is 'obsessive' & in my opinion a wee bit on the ridiculous side. It will go when it has to, without any help from Mommy.

Just my $.02 on that subject.

Edit: If the Jury is still out on the Mealies - maybe you would care to take up the Mealie Basher 'Challenge' . There is a big difference between Personal Preference & fact ...

For what it's worth it's only been done twice because he hadn't pooped wasn't eating and looked absolutely miserable. Like anyone else I do not want to see him miserable. No matter the opinion it worked, helped him and he was much better after.

As for the mealworm challenge I don't know either way because of the fact that there are so many different opinions out there. That's why I worry so much about him pooping but he loves his worms. So I continue to feed them to him and i'm prepared just in case he can't take a poop.

Over the course of the last few months I have had my beardie....I have learned so much on how to take care of him. One thing I don't worry about is when he poops. He will poop it out when he is ready. These little beardies seem to know a whole lot about what they need. If they are hot....they move. If they are hungry....they will eat etc etc. But....we as owners have to give the correct living conditions so they will thrive and be healthy....good luck!!

Love your beardies name!! This is a very good site and so much information from a whole lot of good people. Glad to hear Dirty Fuzzy is doing better today. The little buggers can cause a lot of worry but it gets better....I hardly worry anymore because my little Spike will do what he wants to do!!! LOL!!
