I have a zoo med day/night timer... Can I plug in my jump start thermostat (to control heat and not have it go past 108 F since that's the highest it goes) into the timer ? Anyone try this? And where exactly will I put the lil probe of the thermostat underneath the substrate or just sitting on the basking spot ?

If you can control the heat and it works well with your Bearded Dragon, go for it. Also, don't put the probe on the basking rock, it will then get in the way of your Bearded Dragon's relaxation time, just try to put the probe in an area that your beardie won't find annoying of such.

Hi, I am unfamiliar with the zoomed timer, but if it's just an on/off timer then there is no reason why you cant ust the thermostat with it. The thermostat should only work when the timer is 'on'. I would just try it and see

Unfortunately, you need to measure the exact spot that your dragon is sitting. I know the probe is a pain in the ass with it's cord but you have to figure out a way to make it work. This is why a lot of us have switched to IR Temp guns. It's cheaper because you don't have to buy two and you don't have messy cords around the inside of your tank.

I put the probe right under so far it's good there. And yea i have to invest in a better ir temp gun. I have one, so far it's holding up, but it was cheap so not sure how long it will last
