I went to the hospital for a week and put my parents in charge of my beardie. His heat and light hasn't changed, and neither has his tank, but a few days in he stopped eating and started hiding. He dislayed aggressive behavior toward my mom. He got better when I got home and peeked his head out and ate a little. I put him in a blanket and talked to him and he seemed cold and lethargic, like he hadn't been basking. Why is he doing this? How do you bring a beardie "back to life?"

He just missed you. IF nothing changed....the most important part did for him.....the OTHER constant. YOU!

I bet he snaps out of it soon.....just keep up like you did before. ESPECIALLY if you were an owner that was hands on.....meaning handled him.

Also did your parents stay at your house? They pick up on even the littlest things....when then turned lights off..if your Dad was loud etc...
It's cazy

It's possible your parents didn't care for him like you would have. Not saying they were bad to him, just saying that they probably didn't give him as much attention as you would have. He probably just missed you but if it continues any longer, you should take him to a vet and rule out any problems.

Probably just a stress reaction. Could they have been keeping the house colder while you were gone? I had a similar situation, I was in the hospital for a week and my mother-in-law was staying at my house. She had the temperature down in the sixties the whole time! Of course I did not find out until I got home and my poor little beardie was lethargic and quit eating for a few days until the temperature stabilized again. Even though his heat lights are on a timer, they are set up for a normal temperature house not the Arctic! Plus, there could have been changes in feeding - maybe they were feeding him at a different time, or a different amount than you normally feed him. Some dragons are more sensitive to change than others
