Has white skin...but doesn't look like shedding

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to make sure this is a preparatory stage to shedding. I've never seen her skin like this:

Her beard is also all white as well. It's been like this for about a week. I'm really hoping it's shedding, if someone could make me feel better about it that, it would be GREAT!

Im definitely not the expert around here but it looks like shedding to me. Puff always gets white all around her mouth when she starts to shed

Def is shedding. Give her frequent baths letting some water drip on her head it will help keep her hydrated and help loosen the skin.

My boy will get pretty light in color too along the edges of his mouth. When the skin is itchy anywhere on his head he also rubs himself a lot on the rocks and branch in the tank.

Shedding. I'm dealing with a chest shed and I'm not allowed to give her a soak to relieve her shed. She has three or four little stitches on her chest.

Also I dont know how your girl is about baths...my Banyon loves them. ..if I get the temp just right he enjoys sitting right under the running water. Begin on the back then neck then back of head? Maybe help to loosen the skin a bit if just a little runs over the area?

Yes. Me too. A new lump formed this week or so. I don't know if it's an infection or not from maybe her surgery.

It sounds like you're doing everything in your power to help her... I can feel the love you must surely have for her

I'm not going to give her up so easily. I'm trying to raise money and so far, I've got the remainder of the bill. I need to pay for the credit card I used and have enough for her next surgery. I put a container in a gas station to get more money to pay for her medical expenses and whatever else I can do. I'm also hosting a homemade cookie sale too.

My brother's wife told me to get another one and just let her 'go'. I looked at her like she was crazy. She started talking about her cats and then called them her babies. Well, I told her well, Allie's my baby! I'm not going to let her go.

Both holding on and letting go are hard sometimes. Only you can (or have the right to) decide which to do.
