Finally!

Got a T5 hood...came with a 5.0 bulb...will upgrade to 10.0 eventually. After using a Zilla Desert Heat coil bulb for the first 3 mnths we had our beardie all i can say i wow...this light is so much better. Sugar is about 5 mnths old now and i've given her calcium w/d3 5 days/wk, regular calcium 1 day and mutivitamin 1 day. Should i bump down the d3 to 2 or 3 days/wk now?

congrats. Personally I think the T5s are better than the 10s anyway. Use normal calcium 6x a week, and with D3 just once, they get enough D3 from the light

I love the T5 too. Just so much brighter and better looking. I would stop using the calcium with D3 so much. Just use it a few times a week and also mix in a multivitamin.

Is this a good UV light choice for the attached enclosure?

The fixture is okay but the light isn’t very good. You want to get a Reptisun 10.0 or Arcadia bulb. Also remember mesh on top of the tank is going to block out 30% of the UVB from a T 8 bulb so it needs to somehow be mounted inside the tank or the mesh removed between the light and the tank.
