I brought him home June 5th. I can't say I noticed it at all until a few days before my original post, July 7th maybe? He had a noticeable growth spurt and the eye thing came with it. He's in his new enclosure with new arcadia UVB and stronger heat bulb. New basking spot averages 108F. But with the larger enclosure, the far end is only 80. It's only a 48x 18x 18, but it's glass and doesn't seem to like to hold the heat on the cool side.
I use all rep-cal brand supplements. I dust calcium with D3 phos-free on M,W,F, plain calcium no phos no d3 on Tu,Th, and their herptivite multivitamin St,Sn.
Still active and agile. Change in appetite this week, eating more salads, but still munching on dubias. Never shown a black beard once, but does headbob at self if he catches his reflection.
You want the cool side around 80'ish---- if hes over a year old he only needs insects 2-3 times per week w/ one time a week w/ the D3 - the other days 2-3 w/ out--- make sure your T5 is directly over the basking decor piece 12-15 inches ---

He's only about 5 months old. I'm offering greens and dubias in the morning lightly dusted with supplements and a few dubias in the late afternoon without supplements to chase around (crickets in the afternoon on Fridays). I bought the juvenile bearded dragon variety feeder assortment from dubiaroaches, but he only eats dubias and crickets. T5 covers 3/4 of the enclosure and covers basking side. I built a step style ledge to provide options. Figured he'd know where to choose better than me. Basking options range from floor (18 inches from light), with slightly over an inch between ledges with highest point 10 inches from light.

Please get him on salads --- I would feed those first in the morning - when he gets older like a year that diet is going to change - less insects and more veggies -- did you try the BSFL / nutri grubs? they make great salad toppers and lures to the salad bowl - if he doesnt like those you can try silk worms on the salads another good staple and they stick to everything

He shunned the bfsl like I was trying to poison him, chewed up a tiny horn worm and spit it out, watched the xs superworms with curiosity without tasting them. Haven't tried silk worms though. He seems to like every bit of salad I offer up though. Up until last week he was all about the dubias with a side of salad. Now he mainly wants salad with a small side of bug. Picked up some turnip and mustard greens today for some added variety.
