You would have to use a deeper, vertical sided, glass or other really smooth sided bowl. I always feed mine loose so they can hunt\chase them down. An alternative that I don't use unless it is necessary, is feeding in another empty container, such as another tank or possibly a rubbermaid type bin.

What has worked for me is I use a 16oz deli cup inside a PVC coupler, with a small brick next to it so my little guy can look down upon his food!!! Buahhahaha.

This is pretty much what I use as water dishes for my snakes, so I just use a spare coupler. Although a small glass bowl could work too.

How do you stop little roaches from escaping their dish you serve them in a d what dish is the best?

I use crazy glue... Ha...ha...ha... :) Just joking.

Just feed them loose as you would crickets, let the Dragon do some exercise. Besides, if you let the Beardie get used to getting his/her food that easy, the time will come when he/she will want it just like that all the time, and will not chase anything. IMHO, a dish should only be used for fruits and veggies, and the occasional worm.
