Dubia Colony and Buffalo Beetles

A while ago I added some buffalo beetles to help with keeping my roach colony clean. They work great but my question is; can there be too many beetles in the colony? Last time I did a colony cleaning there were tons and tons of beetle larva and way more adult beetles than I started with. Just wondering if there can be too many.
