:) Aww... he's precious! The belly on him reminds me of what Loki looks like when he's done eating. (He's constantly ravenous; he finished off about 130 crickets, a bowl of collard greens and a few pieces of butternut squash today x_x).

The picture of when you first got him is sad... Sort of looks like Wrex did during his last couple weeks. :( Where did you get him from? PetSmart sold Wrex to me looking only slightly better than that, and I was unable to get him to where he should be. I'm so happy you managed to get him back on his feet though. You did a fantastic job and are a great mommy. ;D

I found him on Craigslist. Paid $50 for him, 10 gallon tank filled with sand and a top, lamp with a red light in it, water dish and his stick that he will not let me take out.

Thank you. He has come a long way and it was not without a lot of worry. I was not so sure he would make it but he and I got lucky and he made it. He eats a lot now too. He eats almost as many greens as Oscar, my 5 yr old beardie, and about 100-120 crix a day. Where do they put it all????? I forgot to order his crix so I picked up 60 from Petsmart today and made a bigger salad then normal, collard greens and butternut squash and he is begging for more crix. He is making me feel like a bad mom for forgetting his crix. But he ate today and a lot and is acting like he is starving and has not been fed in weeks.

I am so glad the new baby is healthy and eating good!!! your a good mommy too.

I was worried b/c it never seemed to go down at all. Now the fat is moving from his belly to his tail so I am feeling much better.

So how long is too long for him to have his big belly? should I give him a few months before I start to worry about this?

As Francis indicated, It's not so much the belly bulge (which should begin to disipate as he gets older, longer, and builds more girth to his body) to watch for as it is the tail, where it joins the body and downward. As he grows that area should fill out and become much thicker than it is currently. By the time he's 10-12 months old you should be able to physically see the difference in photos. Do a now shot and then another in 3 months and compare.

I'm certain he's doing fine. He looks great for the wee little one you brought home so thin and tired.

His tail has begun to get fat. It happened overnight it seems. Everyday I can see it getting fatter.

He is no longer my little baby. Length as of today is 13 1/4 inches.
