I know basing off ambient isn't accurate I was just guessing from the small size of the tank and what the ambient was my tank is quite larger and is holding almost 10 degrees warmer

It looks as if he's getting good temp, and he has pooped since I brought him home so I was glad to see that. Just trying to make sure everything is optimal for his care and growing.
Hi we reacue and rehome so yes I can help basically u need a Clear heat lamp for heat. The zoomed clear basking bulb is best and for UVb it’s the reptisun 10.0 T5 the length u order should cover 70 percent of the tank. Replace the UVb every 6Mnths. Buy a digital thermometer and digital hygrometer. The temp for a Beardie inder 7mnths should be 100-105 and after hes 7mnths or older they like it at 95-98. Humidity should be 30-40 never ever higher than 40. Never ever use colored or coiled bulbs. Leave both lights on 10-12 hours in the winter and in the summer it’s longer 12-14 hours. At nite all lights off but for a baby beardie under 6Mnths use a ceramic heat emitter 60 watt which emits heat but no light it will keep the Beardie around 85 degree temperature at nite after 6Mnths of age only use it in the winter months at nite if the temp drops below 70. Feed lots of proteins 4-5 times a day crickets and Dubias are best lightly dusted with repcal calcium once per day 4 times a week and with herptivite once per day/week on a non calcium day. Never ever feed mealworms or bottled food. Also a plate of fresh veggies & greens everyday to munch on all day replace when it gets wilted. Mustard greens, collard greens, dandelions, yellow squash, butternut squash, endives, green beans and snap peas. Dice them up small for him and mix 2-3 of each. Fruits a few times a week as treats; blueberries, mangoes and papayas some bananas. Baths twice a week for 15min minimum in lukewarm very lightly warm and more when shedding. Buy Reptisafe to place in the water; it removes the chlorine. Also mist the Beardie tie s a day or so again with dechlorinated water. For substrate use white terry cloth towels or paper towels; dont use sand they ingest it.I'm a new dragon owner and trying to find someone who is experienced that I can show my cage and lighting setup to and let me know if it's fine for the time being or should make changes.
Hi Jon, I've had my bearded dragon for 4 yrs now and I've definitely learned alot. One thing I noticed with your cage is that it's too small. They grow very fast and need room. My beardie is in a 150 gallon right now and he is getting a upgrade to a 300 soon. He loves to climb so I want him to be able to thrive. Also they like to feel safe in their enclosure. I would suggest placing some aquarium paper along back and sides to give him that extra feeling of being safe. Also your lighting with the uvb, make sure it's across the length of the cage so that he can get the uvb from most of where he is at. I would also say use tile, its easier to clean and it helps keep their nails filed. They love hammocks. Add one to the corner of cage, not to high up. My baby loves it. Hope this helps. If you need more help let me know. One more thing, for crickets, go to Josh frogs online and get your crickets. They live longer than store crickets. I would buy a 100 to 500 at a time and they lived around 2 months or more. Just get a storage tote and put holes in top for air. Add cricket water in one bowl and cricket food in another and their you have it. Dubia roaches are better for nutrition. Just get to know your beardie. Take him out of cage once a day, create that bond.I'm a new dragon owner and trying to find someone who is experienced that I can show my cage and lighting setup to and let me know if it's fine for the time being or should make changes.
