Hello -
Steve's enclosure is 4x2x2, has three levels, with top/basking area 11" below his basking light and one end of the 34" UVB tube. The temps are 85-ish on one end, 100-ish on the other. The lights are above the mesh on top.
Steve came home to me 6 months ago, he's my first Beardie-baby after a couple years of not being blessed with one, things have moved around since then so I started fresh with whole new housing and lights. In all honesty I can never remember the technicals of lighting and always relied on a write-out I no longer have.
Because it was a whole new enclosure type, this time I relied on someone's help and I wonder if the wrong long UVB tube was grabbed when the whole set-up was purchased.
I went to change his UVB tube and found it to be a 5.0 HO T5. That seems off...maybe? My last enclosure set-up didn't have mesh below the lights so there's a good chance I'm thinking of that.

Have tried reading several entries, but cannot keep the threads of thoughts together long enough to make sense of it. So need a direct "this is it"

TL; DR is 5.0 T5 what is needed for a Beardie when the light is above the mesh?
Or should it be 10.0 HO, or a T8?

Thanks so much!!!

Uvb should be either a Arcadia pro T 5 12% 24 watt bulb or a reptisun 10.0 T 5 placed directly above a piece of basking decor 12-15 inches- inside the tank-- screens block approx 30% uvb rays- w/ the 5.0 bulb on the screen the dragon is basically getting no uvb- you want surface basking temps taken w/ a digital probe thermometer- 105-110 for a baby

OK, so a 10.0 *is* needed. But if light is *above* the mesh top, is T5? or is a T8 needed?

Image attached is what I have currently.

Size of your tank No T 8's-- for a 120 gallon tank 4x2x2 a 10.0 or the Arcadia 12% 24 watt is needed and inside the tank-- placement and distance for uvb- is key here

For beardies the bulb isn’t strong enough needs the 10.0. So you might wanna switch that. Also above the mesh is a no. I tweaked both of my screens with chains. They sell chain by the foot at Home Depot for cheap and bought screws. Drilled holes on my screen tops and hanged my lights inside. Except for the basking one.

Easy fix only came out to 3 bucks. Each chain I got a foot long each. Was perfect length.
