Hey,
I have a few probe thermometers from when I kept leopard geckos. I had one who passed away from unknown causes about 6 months ago. If the problem was parasites or disease, it is possible they are still alive on the thermometer. I have a PE1 thermometer on order but it will get here the same day my bearded dragon will. I have a 100 watt incandescant heating the 55 gallon and I believe the temps are right but want to be 100 percent positive the temps havent changed from when I last took a reading, is it ok to use the thermometer.
Thanks

That, alcohol or a bleach & water solution should work.
