i found this neat looking thing in my front yard, can any of you tell me what kind of salamander it is?

I thought he was neat didnt want to disturb him though so i took pictures instead :]

I've seen those about in different places... Those are really quite a wide spread species. Down here in Savannah, I don't see many, since this is brackish/salt water soaked soils. But I do see lots and lots of skinks and anoles !

im in bc just outside of vancouver and have found salamanders in my back yard we do have them
