Curious to see if it means anything

Dumb question..Does it mean anything when your beardie will seat for a long time, with his mouth wide open and his toungue out a just a little bit ?
My beardie Humphrey has been doing that a lot today. I thought that meant that he wanted water, BUT when I offered him some, he wouldn't take it.
