if the grid is a thick screen it needs to go inside the tank that thick screen will block 30% of the UVB rays -- you can use long cable ties like this from Home Depot or Amazon https://www.amazon.com/heat-resistant-cable-ties/s?k=heat+resistant+cable+ties&tag=exoticpetnetw-20 ---offer water on her nose see if she will lick - watch her poops for dry crusty urate that will be a sign of dehydration along w/ dried out dark poop

I have a lid like this, now the lamp is lying on it. The distance to the point where he likes to sit, I indicated in the photo. Should the lamp be hung inside? Will it not be hot for him?

You can try the UVB on top of screen get a piece of basking decor directly under it 8-10 inches I recommend 8" - watch his behavior - the UVB bulbs do not emit heat like people think -- keep offering him water once a week - if hes eating salads rinse them before serving he will get some moisture that way but still offer the water-- I recommend getting him off the sand babies get impacted too easily on sand and replace w/ some textured NON adhesive shelf liner cut to the size of the tank - its easy to clean w/ vinegar / water 50/50 -- insects cannot get underneath if its cut to the size of the tank - you can find the liner at Walmart or your local home improvement store

Thank you ! And sorry I'm using translator for this page so sometimes I post in Russian occasionally. I have reptile mats (photo) , can I use them or shelf liners work better? Unfortunately he doesn't eat now. I forced him to eat 5 crickets today. Usually he eats 10. His poop was normal last time , no signs of dehydration thankfully. I just read about MBD and what can cause it, and I found out that maybe I was wrong with his supplements. I gave him calcium with D3 every day, but maybe it was too much and he has overdose now instead ? Is that possible ?

Talking about MBD - he seems to have all the symptoms , today his paw front right paw stopped working properly, he doesn't step on it + seizures

He needs the D3 every day ONCE per feeding on his insects- lightly coated - how many times a day are you offering insects - he should be eating at least 20 crickets per feeding the correct size - not too big or they will impact him -it is possible to overdose them on calcium but he is young and needs the calcium D3 now your UVB is going to help him absorb / synthesize the calcium and grow strong bones - I would go w/ the liner those reptile mats look like they are hard to clean - I would put the UVB inside the tank that way we know he is getting the correct UVB - use heat resistant plastic cable ties - you can find them at your hard ware stores -

Thank you so much! I used to offer him 5-10 crickets twice a day (morning and evening), but I'll increase it .Hope he will start to eat himself soon. So I should add calcium with D3 one feeding and second feeding just calcium no D3?

I was just scared of him getting to much uvb if lamp go inside but if it's okay - I'll do it , thank you!

So now I can only wait for him getting better with proper uvb and force to eat proper amount of insects everyday/ force to drink once per week. And give him bath once a day?

No baths- offer water once a week - is he eating salads? Calcium d 3 once a day on the insects lightly coated - once his surface basking temps and uvb are on par his eating should increase- he only needs calcium d 3 once per day - this will change once he turns a year

Isn't 12% too much? he likes to sit high
No..12% is the correct uvb for bearded dragon. 6% is for other reptiles, like some snakes. Bearded dragons are desert dwellers...they need 12% to thrive. Yes, the zoomed Reptisun t5 10.0 is the bulb he needs!
