hi, my 4 month old beardie he sits with his mouth open when i walk past their tank,but he mainly does it all the tme .could some one please tell me why he does that .

They are regulating their heat when they stand/sit with gaping mouths. Can you tell me what your hot and cold side temps are? And what are you using to gage the temp?

Also, what UVB/UVA lighting do you have?

yes, this is known as gaping. bearded dragons tend to do this when they have reached their optimal body heat and allows them to get rid of the extra body heat. beardies don't sweat, so gaping allows them to regulate their body temp.

do you have a cool side that is around 85F?
