Yup, if you allow them to sit for a few weeks in a nice warm place they should double in size in a few weeks.

I gave mine a carrot to munch on. They loved it. It seems like feeding them prevents them from turning I to flies while allowing them to grow.

We did the exact same thing awhile back! We let them sit for a few weeks and ended up putting them out in the yard. It was too much hassle for me.

I couldn't release them like that lol my beardies love them too much. Mine are way too small right now so I'm just gonna give them carrot and apple to make them fat and happy until they are big enough to feed off. Without food present, pupation is triggered and you end up with flies. Creepy looking flies. But give those squiggly larvae some food and they'll grow without pupating :)

I wish I would have known that before I released them! Lol

Right now I can't get Wally to eat much cuz of his stomach issues.

But thank you for the advise so if in the future I mistakenly order the small ones again I know what to do with them.

Definitely a good trick for the future!

What's going on with wally's stomach? I didn't know your little man was having problems.

Omg yes! I am getting ready to go to therapy and pick out fabrics for my Ruth and Mushu. So when I get back I will email you if that's okay.

Just wanted to let you know that my hubby is in love with Mushu and his markings!

Oh one quick thing to think about, on the beds we have a little foot on the bottom corners to give it a design look. Would you rather him leave those off on Ruth's bed? Easier for her to get in and out? Just something I was thinking about last night.

they can really pack away food lol. I have never seen something eat so much so quick. I didn't feed my last batch anything and ended up with hundreds of flies. Had no idea feeding prevented this, will definitely keep that in mind with our next batch

I look forward to seeing the fabrics you pick out!

Mushu is a handsome little dude. He's starting to take on a lighter color. He was so dark as a baby that I wondered if he was a mix of pogona vitticeps and pogona barbata! I'm still not convinced that he isn't haha

It may be better to leave the feet off of Ruth's bed. She's getting better with mobility, but I want to make things as easy on her as I can.
