Posting some info on brumation -- read the info then ask me more questions if you need help
The dragon should be of good weight over 300 grams -- not under a year old --
How long have you had the dragon?

Hi; U still keep the UVB & heat on for the normal time frame & still place the normal food and water so mustard greens, yellow squash, dandelions etc. Dragons sometimes go into Briimation mine never do. Please check the temp with an infrared gun; it may be too hot in there for him. Also the in light needs changing every 6 months religiously. Please buy the Reptisun 10.0 T5 it’s a long tubular bulb. I order on Amazon or at a specialty reptile store. Never use coiled or colored bulbs ever. The heat lamp should be clear like the sun. The zoomed basking bulb is best. Make sure he has a cave/hideaway house under his basking platform to get away from the in as needed.

If your dragon is down for the count you can leave the lights off dragons like cool and dark -- you dont feed them during brumation and its a myth about the food in the stomach rotting I have never seen or heard of a dragon having this happen - you do need to offer them water tho every couple of weeks and maybe get a weight on them at that time to make sure they are either sustaining the weight or maybe a little weight loss is acceptable but not a lot then there is something else going on -- I have a dragon that semi brumates in goes in his cave for like 2 weeks then comes out and is normal the rest of the winter -- he actually just came out here the day before -- my other one brumates for longer period of time -- follow your dragons lead -- any questions please ask

Sadie u still need to place food and water on the tank!! And dragons rarely go into Brunatiion. The temp is prolly off and it’s blazing hot in the tank!!! UVB needs replacing every 6months and need to monitor the temps in the cage!!!

I just bought a 1-year-old male bearded dragon from someone off craigslist. I don't think the last owner ever held him or did anything with him when he had him he definitely never trimmed the bearded dragons nails when I hold him and he looks up at me with his cute face I notice he will open his mouth which makes me weary thinking he may bite me but I don't hold him constantly I do let him sit in his tank to get use to his new surroundings and environment I do sit on my bed and watch him and talk to him I do notice when I have the tv on he will run from his heated sided of his tank to the cooler side to where the tv is and watches tv * cutest thing ever I must say * but my question is how long will it take for him to get use to me and like me ?

Is he showing any stress marks? The opening of the mouth is called gaping- hes adjusting his body temp -- it sounds like hes doing well -- does he run from you when you put your hand in the tank?

Ok you need to let him learn to trust you -- maybe hand feed him some horn worms super worms - patience is key just keep working w/ him and he will eventually come around - give him a blanket or piece of clothing w / your smell on it place in his hide that too will help

those are good but you something w/ less grooves - something more smoother so the poop doesnt get stuck in the grooves or you will be having to take it out to actually get it clean- if its on a dome its NO good - you want a long tube fixture I can post links for them if you like

so you want links for the UVB? https://www.amazon.com/s?k=NON+AHDH...re,aps,91&ref=nb_sb_noss&tag=exoticpetnetw-20
look here and it has to be NON adhesive -- I see you can get Zilla liners but they are spendy and not as good to clean up the shelf liner you can clean w/ vinegar/ water 50/50
