Ok your good w/ the UVB on top the screen is a wide hole get a piece of basking decor directly under it 8-10 inches -- get your surface basking temps 95-100 w/ your probe thermometer and then watch his behavior - you should notice a difference in appetite colors and pooping -- are you giving supplements? I would get some BSFL www.symtonbsf.com use as lures to the salad bowl if hes not eating salads and use them to hand tame him - get a piece of clothing or a fleece blanket w/ your smell on it place in his hide so he gets used to your smell all this I am posting will help w/ the adjustments to the tank and surroundings and his over all behavior

He should be getting calcium D3 5 x per week ONCE per feeding lightly dusted on his crickets- vitamins w/ beta carotene 2 x per week ONCE per feeding lightly dusted on his crickets - the UVB is going to help him absorb / synthesize the calcium -- at the age of 1 year the calcium is going to change -

I got a 150w bulb and the temperature is mid 90s with around 107-110 on the basking rock. This is him right now. I think the gaping is a good sign?
