ok make sure the fixture has NO clear plastic cover over the bulb it needs to be exposed and NO screen either and distance 6-8 inches directly over the basking decor piece -- this is a MUST-- I would recommend you set up the tank like this

Oh my my my! This just makes me sick! My Halo just turned 5 months and is absolutely spoiled! I just can't image someone getting one of these guys and not even trying to get any info on how to care for them. I will pray for this baby. Thank you for rescuing her. Please keep us updated.
