Beardie acting strangely after vet visit

Recently, we found out that our beardie' s tail was acting strange. 2 weeks later, we took her to the vet because of paranoia. When we got their, the vet said that she has MBD and that we should give it food alongside a 0.1 cc of oral Calcium Glubionate and a 0.1 cc of medical, a painkiller. Today, which is the day after the vet visit, she started opening and closing his mouth a whole lot, especially after the medicine. She also keeps closing his eyes and what seems like gulping. It doesn't seem like gapping at all, as he never did This before as much. This is starting to worry us. If any of you can help, it'll be much appreciated. She is about 3 years and a few months old and the MBD hit her pretty hard.

hi there. couple of questions - can you post a pic of your kiddo? when you say the tail was acting strange - can you explain HOW it was acting? did the vet give you a bottle labeled MEDICAL ? is there another name on the bottle? (I am not familiar with a painkiller named MEDICAL) (I'm looking for a generic medicine name like acetaminophen, meloxicam ) what are you feeding her? was the vet a reptile vet? MBD doesn't happen overnight - it's a process. lets see what we can get sorted out to help you a bit !

How is he doing now? Sounds like he may have aspirated the medicines. You can hold him on your arm, head facing the floor tail facing your shoulder and gently pat his back to get the fluid to come out of his lungs.

It's very important when giving anything by mouth that you go slow and you make sure it goes down the throat. One thing you can try doing is inject the medicine into a soft bodied worm and they can eat the worm and get the medicine.
