Hi everyone,
I bought a new substrate 3 days ago. Switched from loose substrate (no calci sand, don’t worry) to repti carpet. Since the new substrate she won’t eat her roaches or her veggies. I offer her even treats like dried flowers or repashy grub pie. She poops daily, but today’s poop seemed softer than the previous day.

Some more Infos:
-> she is a juvenile, approx. about 6-8 month old
-> she always liked digging, so I suppose it could be relocation stress?

I’m really worried she will starve herself, what to do?

Is it possible she is gravid? W/ the digging that tells me she might be w/ infertile eggs --- it is possible although she is so young --- can you post pics of her tank and lighting --- we need to rule out lighting issues as it will cause them not to eat - the new carpet should not effect her eating --- what are her basking temps and how are you taking them infrared heat gun ? stick ons ? or digital probe?

Hi, thanks for the fast reply. Here are the requested pics:

- Her Basking Spot: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/434051937621508097/658032259718447125/image3.jpg

- Her Tank front view, we got the ReptiSun 10.0 T5 fixed in the ReptiSun UVB Hood: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/434051937621508097/658032259227582488/image2.jpg

Obviously the mesh is cut out, so the uvb tube has no obstruction (https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/434051937621508097/658032258564751374/image1.jpg)

Basking Spot Temperatures is 100 fahrenheit and the cooler area about 77 fahrenheit. I use a digital probe.

Tank looks good and so does she-- if she is digging constantly I would set up a digging box for her to dig to see if she is gonna lay eggs -- would be unusual being she is young but its not gonna hurt --- here is some stuff people use for digging box

LAYBOX

potting soil that doesn't have any type of
chemicals or fertilizers in it, mixed with sand, etc. Be sure it is at least 10-12 inches deep & that
the mix is damp enough to where it will hold up to her making a burrow but not sopping
you can put it in her tank make room for it and see what she does

Thanks a lot, i will try that at monday when the stores open again!
