Ok I am sorry it sounded like they were housed together-
They tend to slow down in winter but it also is good to have your uvb and basking temps up to par as well-- do your dragons brumate? A lot of them are in brumation now-- some semi brumate-- so sometimes we need to rule out lighting so we can say it's that time of year for the brumation period their appetites slow down - do more lounging around-

A 100-150 watt bulb should be fine for most tanks. Some materials, such as melamine, hold heat better than others and will need a lower wattage, and if your house is cooler you might need a stronger bulb. Don't get anything above 150 (unless you have a very large tank or if you manage to find a dimmer fixture that can handle it) since the UVA light output can be too powerful.

Hi guys my boy Ziggy has passed 3 urates now but no poop!! He has been a bit sluggish lately and reluctant to eat apart from his bugs but not as eager as he usually is!! It is winter here so I have been keeping him hydrated with baths and feeding him water with a dropper I have put a little apple puree in once just to encourage him to drink a bit more to see if this picks his energy up. I am concerned he is impacted is this a possibility if he is still passing urate...any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. He's coming up for 10 so that worries me as well as he's no spring Chicken.
Taking him to a vet isn't a problem but don't want to bother him too much if he's just brumanating
Thank you,
Dawn.
Hi; Sounds like he’s Impacted and not getting proper heat or proper UVB. If feeding him mealworms; stop that asap, this impacts them. Stick to crickets & dubia roaches & of course the greens & veggies. U can do some super worms or hornworms as treats once in a while. Also, never feed him rite when he wakes up; they need to be basking for a few hours; they need to be warm to eat. Also; it takes 2hours of heat/uvb to digest their food so the last feeding make sure lights are on for at least 2hours before u put him to bed & turn all his lights out. I try not to feed to late ever, especially in the winter cuz they only stay up for 10 hours or so. Temp should be 95-98 with a clear basking bulb for an adult; mine are fussy & like 97. Make sure u have a digital thermometer and digital hygrometer for accuracy. Humidity should be 30-40 never higher than 40. The UVB should be a Reptisun 10.0 T5, the length u order should cover 70percent of the tank; it makes a huge difference in the tank and makes it light & bright & administers the best UVB. Without proper/correct UVB; he can’t absorb Vitamin D, which he needs for strong bones, for energy and & to breakdown the calcium. Many people make the mistake of using a coiled bulb or some Mickey Mouse UVb bulb & the Beardie ends up suffering later and will be on his death bed. Also; “In the winter UVB & HEAT should be on for 10-12 hours & in the Summer 12-14 hours per day.”
For now warm baths in Luke warm water that’s dechlorinated ( Buy Reptisafe) if U don’t have filtered water; warm baths will help him poop; & stop the mealworms if that’s one of your feeders. Also a hideaway to get away from the UVB; I have a hammock & I place a soft terry cloth towel on top and under the hammock is his shady/hideaway area w/a Soft fleece blanket under the hammock of course so he’s comfy. I place the hammock on the hot side behind his basking bulb/basking platform; they love to lounge on the hammock it’s also almost like another basking area that’s still warm but cooler than the super hot under the basking bulb. Also are u dusting the feeders 3-4 times a week with REPCAL calcium powder? U lightly sprinkle till they are lightly powdered like salt on French fries;) hope this helps. If he’s shedding he will be lethargic and not eating as much; so just do more baths because this will help with the itching and help the skin fall off quicker. Hopefully this helps Amd make the changes ASAP especially the UVB;)

Sorry what changes to UVB
Does anyone know how i go about rehoming them as whatever i do doesn't seem to be right. I've just purchased new basking bulbs as previously advised and they are exactly the same colour as before so just a waste of £15...if you could attach some links that would be great, thank you.

U can return anything you buy. Ok for basking buy a ZooMed CLEAR basking bulb & for UVB buy a Reptisun 10.0 T5. Also in the winter both need to be on for 10-12 hours and in the summer 12-14 hours. Get digital thermometers and digital hygrometers for accuracy & if tank is 18inches high get something to raise the bulb to be 12 inches or so away till u get the proper heat. I use a 75 watt and I still have to raise it or lower the basking platform or buy a new one. Also are you housing more than 1 beardie in a tank?? If so separate them ASAP!! U cannot do that; one akways suffers due to stress & not Enuff heat, etc. If you don’t want them you can relinquish them to a vet or animal rescues.
