Bearded Dragon Gender??

This our little beardie, Bo. He/she is 8 months old. Very healthy, active, super calm and loves to be held.
I have read forums on finding the sex of a bearded dragon, but I’m still not sure. Assuming male, but please help if you know?

I saw a video where you hold a bright flashlight in that area and you can see through the skin and see their sexual organs. I also talked to a nice lady at a non chain pet store, she said typically males get a full dark beard when agitated, females only get a little dark, outer rim of beard.

Full on black beards are a sign of distress or pain or could be breeding related --this goes for all dragons

Thank you! This is helpful and ours very rarely gets irritated. The only time she does is when we don’t get her out of her terrarium when she wants to be held, which is a lot! Lol. When she does only the outer rim of her beard gets dark and her body. Assuming it’s a “she” now and not a “male”
